The Pierhouse Hotel at Port Appin also has moorings and the stone jetty is available for short stays, a very pleasant‘local’just a 10 minute boat ride away.

The nearby village of Benderloch, approximately 4 miles to the south is located on the coast of the West Highlands between Oban and Fort William. Local amenities include a filling station, a church, a primary school, village hall and local shops. A regular bus service runs through the village. Other local activities include diving, fishing, and another beautiful bay at Tralee is only 20 minutes away. Oban, approximately 13 miles from the cottage by road, supports a wide range of shopping, recreational facilities, banks, building societies and professional offices.
